Award-winning studio Elicyon designs the interiors for Chelsea Barracks' first furnished residence. The studio takes their inspiration from the barrack's impressive military heritage, weaving in delicate details that reference infantry uniforms and artillery. The interiors use soft ivory as a base for their colour scheme, introducing a collection of beautiful hues through artwork, materials and textiles. The residence spans over 4,300 square foot, containing four en-suite bedrooms - including the master bedroom with dressing room – two living rooms, a dining room, cinema room, study and kitchen.
The main living quarters boast views out across Pimlico and Westminster, beautifully framed by the elegant fretwork railings - a subtle buffer between the contemporary interiors of the Barracks and the traditional architecture and heritage that surrounds. The lounge exhibits a colour palette inspired by the Chelsea Pensioners' navy undress uniform; a reference to the iconic neighbours just a stone's throw away. Tan and burnt orange tones complement the interior, adding a warming touch through select artworks, accessories and blankets. The use of brass metalwork and opulent gold decorative detailing continues throughout the property, unifying each of the spaces.
The kitchen looks out over the main living space, utilising luxurious natural materials, paring the deliciously dark wood of the kitchen units with a beautiful grey veined marble that creates the worksurfaces. Stainless steel fixtures, fittings and appliances round off the design, giving the space its own visual identity while remaining connected socially to the rest of the home. The dining room works with darker materials, including lacquer and polished black marble. The high-gloss nature of these surfaces, complemented by the golden hues of the artwork and impressive brass backs of the dining chairs, allow the interior to sparkle in the reflection of the chandelier and ever-changing light of the day.
A place of tranquillity - the washroom exhibits a muted colour palette with soft grey tilework, matching sink countertop and ivory painted walls. The sizeable polished chrome mirror with its curved corners softens the lines of the interior, reflecting the warm lighting and ivory hues to create an effortlessly beautiful and luxurious space. Texture plays a crucial part in the design of the bedrooms, introducing layers of comfort and style within these relaxing retreats. Plush grey carpeting creates a sense of intimacy in the rooms, and the large upholstered headboards create a central focus for the interiors, luring the eyes in towards the layering of beautiful textiles and patterned cushions, complemented by opulent lighting and soft furnishings.

The Show residence is located within 8 Whistler Square and is part of the entirely new and prestigious Chelsea Barracks neighbourhood in Belgravia, spanning 12.8 acres from Pimlico Road to Ebury Bridge Road and across to Chelsea Bridge Road. The development also boasts five acres of new garden squares amongst a luxurious collection of apartments, townhouses, penthouses and a mews house.
